When my children were very little and caring for them was what consumed my days 24/7, it seemed it would always be that way. It just felt like changing diapers, night time feedings, wiping noses, reading stories, and playing peek a boo would be my life forever. This wasn't necessarily a bad thing. In fact, looking back, it's something that I completely took for granted: The thought that it would always be that way.
Now that my children are older, 9 and 12, I find myself longing for the days of rocking them to sleep, of chasing them around the house playfully shouting, "I'm gonna get you!" When did that stop?! I now appreciate that this time with my children is fleeting. Of course I love watching them grow, but I now know that it won't always be just like this!
This leads me to the point of this post: Why Mommy and Me sessions are a must! I think its safe to say that most mothers are the ones behind the camera. I know it's like that in our household. I have countless photos of my husband and children at various stages in our lives. The photos of me, however, are few and far between. As my children grow, I treasure our own Mommy and Me session more and more. Abigail Kuzia Photography took these precious images of my children and me so many years ago. Some of them are sweet and some are hilarious. Their personalities and the way we interacted together are captured so perfectly.
Get in front of that camera, Mom. One day you'll look back and treasure those images. These sessions can be quick and easy. The goal is to capture natural, fun interactions between mother and child. These sessions can be done in-studio, at an outdoor location, or even at your own home! To book a Mommy and Me session, reach out here.
